The Human Resources department of any company holds the aorta of the company. Through this department new individuals are screened to see if they would contribute to the livelihood of the company. Strategic human resource management (SHRM) is mainly the work of  HR (along with other managers), and there are four main elements they must consider: Selection and placement, Job design, compensation and rewards, and Diversity management. Selection and placement has do do with the hiring process. Job design has to do with how the position and its activities are designed. Compensation and rewards have to do with how HR taps into the human motivation.

Spiritual Jumpstart: John 1 (NIV)

John 1 The Word Became Flesh1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 He was with God in the beginning.3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcomet it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John.7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

21-Day Spiritual Jumpstart

Here's the Plan:  We are inviting you to walk with us through the gospel of John by reading one chapter a day for the next 21 days, and sharing with others what you’ve learned from your time with God.

Just choose a time that you'll get up in the morning to read your Bible. Then keep that time everyday, for the next 21 days.

When you wake up, let prayer be the very first thing that you do; thank God for allowing you to see a brand new day and ask Him to guide you every step of the way.

Get yourself alert:
Brushing your teeth and washing up will usually get your body out of the sleepy state.
You may want to drink a cup of water to get your system going.
Figure a routine that works best for your body.

Then go to a place where you can read your chapter: Ask God to help you to understand what you are about to read; not just intellectually, but also in your heart.

When do we start? Day one is Saturday, August 4, 2012

Feed Your Spirit

You are a human being.

You are made of 3 parts: Mind, Body, and Spirit. If you neglect any one of these parts, the result is an imbalanced life. Of those three parts, your spirit is the most vital part of you because everything in your life flows from your spirit.

A troubled spirit will produced a troubled life. If the space around you is disorderly, it is because your spirit is in disarray. Constant pimples? Hair falling out? Lonely and depressed all the time? Chronic relationship failures? Check your spiritual health.

Drinking up or smoking up and getting high will pacify you but it won't satisfy you. Sex won't fill the emptiness within. Millions of dollars will not fix a broken spirit.

Your spirit yearns to be in tune with God. Everything in you longs to be deeply connected with your Creator. The only thing that will satisfy is a constantly growing connection with God. Because God is the Source of Life, He is the only One who can align your spirit and fill the emptiness wit…

How To Finish Well (No Matter How You Started)

As the academic semester comes to a speedy end, every decision that you make is crucially important. We know that these last few strides can either make or break a whole semester’s worth of work. I am going to show you how you can finish with a shout of victory and have something worth celebrating at the end of the semester.
I’ve watched several of my friends rise and fall throughout the semesters. I have seen what works and what doesn’t. Additionally, I’ve learned many bitter lessons through my own experience with academic pitfalls. I’d like to make this journey smoother for you by sharing these principles so that you can get the wisdom, without the whipping.
The greatest sorrow is the fact many people, who have made some mistakes, have already given up on themselves. They think that they are doomed to fail. Recognize that just as quickly as the light comes on when you flip a switch, so it is with the switch of your mind. You can get up, and make a decision to move in the right dire…
